The ex-chief of police here totaled his GO-Mango Charger Daytona R/T last week. He is OK but the car is toast.

Does the car have anything to do with him being the former police chief?

what I've noticed is even with the ESP partially turned off you can still do a burnout,it shuts off the trction control which is what stops the wheels from spinning but the ACS is still active to keep you from drifting or fishtailing.

Us LX owners know this one all too well. ESP system, even when supposedly "off" isn't ever really off. Diablo Predator will help, but won't disable the yaw sensor, so you can't fishtail or you'll go into limp mode.

You guys need to do an ESP mod. I have been selling a $50 device for a couple years now that hooks up to the Yaw sensor and ESP button and, upon pressing the ESP button for 5 seconds, disables the Yaw sensor. This allows you to do donuts, drifts, etc without the computer intervening. BLD still works, so you won't pegleg, and ABS still works.

Nobody has tried one on a Challenger yet, so you can't buy one until I know they'll work on one. I'll give one away free to someone with a Challenger that can hook it up (hookup is simple and only takes about 20 minutes) and is willing to take a couple snapshots of the install.

Once it's proven working, then I'll sell to Challenger owners. You can look at my site at www.noesp.com or Google NoESP and you'll see plenty on forum hits from all different LX based forums.

Thanks
Joe

Joe,
I would love to bypass the yaw sensor. If you want an install, and pictures with feedback, I'm your huckleberry. I will show install, and results in photos and vid.

That mod is posted on another forum.
You cut a wire and install toggle switch.

Perfect. Email me at BurnRubber@NoESP.com, and I'll get that out to you right away.

And yes, you could just put a toggle switch in line with the power to the yaw sensor, but then you're drilling a hole somewhere to mount an ugly switch in your brand new 50k car. If you want to go that route, google RTJunkie mod, and you'll see the how-to on that one.

You get the same result with the NoESP mod, but you get to use the stock ESP button
