See you at Barrett Jackson in 2025-2030 when I'm being handed that big check and we can discuss it further.
I can't see a 22 year old car pulling down big $$. Are there $40,000 1986 models bringing in big bucks? A 42 year old car maybe. Who knows what the market will be at that time. But what do I know, I don't even understand the current Barrett Jackson phenomenon.

I am under the impression that Chevy is offering employee discounts on all of their cars. So the Corvette might be a deal. As far as collectable, a very nice Mustang Boss 302 should bring $100K, what did they sell for back in the day, $4000?

but back in the day was almost 40 years ago for that car. By 2030 the Chally will be only 22. By 2048 it might be valuable if there's much gasoline left. and if I'm not dead i'll be too old to enjoy it properly.

yeah after restoration and after INFLATION!!!! come on dude...
The Challenger will depreciate 08 or 09 till it gets to the point like the Vette's do where the deprication stops and only "Mileage" brings down the price.
Everybody is a fool to think this car will fetch huge dollars in 20 years... the only ones that will are ones with unique options, the Manual 09's, special color combo's, Verts- whenever or if ever, different Engine optionswhenever or if ever...
If your a sensible collector or car enthusiast you know this already and are waiting for the SPECIAL COLOR COMBO/ DROP-TOP/ 392. That car will fetch big bucks in say 30 years.... Anyone that would like to argue this I "dare you too" That car will dwarf your so called "collector car now".
So fellas you can talk all you want but you know the real ACE up Chrysler's sleave has yet to come out... Pleeaazzz... This car is BAMF.... bad azz mutha fya... Cars are not investment's unless you steal them or buy them at the bottom of there depreceation cycle... Pleeeeaaazzz.... Happy wishing... So you guy's can wait till 20 million whatever... or I can patientlly wait for the "real collector Challenger to come out. The one that we all used to talk about, the one that will come in 2010... right???...

AND THE CORVETTE ZR1 IS GOING SOME PLACES OVER 80K OVER STICKER !

YOU CAN"T EVEN GET A DAMN TOYOTA PRIUS AT STICKER ...

but here come all the broke people bashing the poor guy trying to sell a car at a reasonable price considering the market.
All the broke people, give me a break kid. Have some respect for the people who can afford this car over msrp and decided to wait a few months to get invoice price like me. Rich people don't usually throw there money around. There is a reason why they have money, because they were SMART WITH THEIR MONEY. POOR GUY ISNT SELLING THE CAR AT A REASONABLE PRICE. 47k is almost in m3 ctsv vettes area, that is not priced in the market. It needs to be priced with the camaro and mustang. Itis already overpriced a bit to begin with but buying over sticker or selling over is rediculous if you want TO MAKE ANY MONEY IN THIS MARKET.

Yo Yankee....

Just wanted to chime in and let everyone know I was a "sap". Did I pay over msrp... you bet I did.
I didnt buy it for collecting. I bought it because life it too short to WANT what you can have.

I am sure many younger, or more patient people may feel different. I respect that.
i dont think anyone is trashing you for buying over sticker, but I will trash people who buy this as an investment for themselves in 30 years.

"Here in South Florida I know for a fact all the cars.com prices are real ... most dealers want over 50k for the 08 and are going to do the same with 09. I looked on a forum where one guy said "Over half there are listed at MSRP on cars.com and I typed in my zip called some "MSRP Offers" And all dealers want 15k TO THIS DAY (9/3/08) for the 2008 model. There is one 09 SE in west palm beach and they want 30ish for it. I called 5 dealers today and the price has not changed and for everyone who thinks dealers will let 09 SRT's go for MSRP are very wrong because the SE's aren't even going for sticker in South Florida. I know very few dealers will sell the chally at MSRP , and most are still asking over MSRP for the 08. And the auto 08 is the same as 09 so this guy isn't asking an insane price ...."

If those are the best deals you've found you need to do more research. You can easily find an 08 on ebay for 2-3k over sticker. You can get an 09, any model, for msrp and this is within a couple weeks of the cars just coming out. Not to mention we're talking cars on dealer lots. If you go in and ask to order one you can get it well below msrp.

Hey you and Obama have the same philosophy, "frac the american citizen" by raising taxes and going above MSRP for your used car. Shame on you Rod for trying to "shaft" everyone.
