Just order 4 Challenges today!
Bootcamp, I totally agree and always thougth that is what they are doing I think it is funny when people get frustrated because they think Dodge will not do what they say
and all they are really doing is executing a very slow methodical 2 year marketing plan.
Be patient everyone, Dodge is executing and we are just starting to see the results.
This reminds me of the Coke vs. Coke Classic marketing strategy.
Beautifully executed but it did come with risks but in the end, they took up more space on the store shelves and gained more market share.
Strictly brilliant!

Probably listening to focus groups. Designers designed in a vacuum. Marketing doesn't happen in a vacuum. I'd imagine they were getting a lot of feedback from nostalgic Chally owners indicating they'd like the grill a little closer to the one they had when they were kids.

Amen to that! I am not buying until I see one also. I can skip the little spoiler & I love the little nuances on the concept like the "six-shooter" headlamp. I want to get a thorough look at the car before buying & a couple hi-res close ups only whet the appetite.
I agree, I wish they didn't have to play the game, but I understand why they have too.
They are going to postpone production full shots simply for fear of alienating people not as pragmatic as you. If they show the pictures before they run the gauntlet and get all the orders for the limited run, I would conjecture they were fearful of cooling the demand with tangible "here's what it's really going to look like" easy to sell an amorphous idea of what it could look like "or here are the best parts and what they look like".....probably in a less prolix way of stating it, the macro close-ups represent in film world a trailer w/ the best parts or those elements that will have you drop coin on the particular film.
OK, I'm getting a little too academic maybe...
