I found a company called Jet that supposedly makes a 180 degree stat just for the 6.1 engine.($29.95) Any one else have any luck or more info?

 

mine was 10.00 at a local parts store

 

The JET is stainless whereas most replacement will be brass, I believe.

 

Except for the center element mine is stainless. Jet may have the best in the world, i dont know. I was looking local and knew something in the dodge line up and to be close. I was happy to find an exact match so I used the same ring gasket

 

Did you notice a difference with the stat?

 

Im still getting used to the custom tune so the stat is not something I really feel. I see it big time on the temp gauge and it sure has not slowed me down.
