I was patrolling the city I workin and saw a 1973 dodge challenger for sale at a little dealership. This guy who owns the dealer jacks up the prices. Its posted for $10,000 as is. I looked at it up close some minor paint bubbles with a weee bit of rust! im going back later to find out more and actually look at the car. All I could make out from the window on the mileage was 40,678. When I go back What questions about the engine should I ask and what should I look for in trying to talk him down. I can already tell that the inside is in great shape(leather), and it needs a good paint JOB. Its engine is a 340 fourbarrel!!! I need SOME tips!!!

I would want to know what kind of shape the body is in. Being it's an old car there might be a lot of bondo covering up all of the actual rust. I had to replace both quarter panels and had the area around the windshield fixed and around the rear window. It's not cheap to have body work done. Also check the truck for rust

That really doesn't sound like to bad of a price depending on the condition. I would check to see if it's the orignal motor, if it's not that could be a leverage for price.
