Default new here, need info..

hey, hows it goin, i have a 70 challenger r/t convertible, it has the 383 with a 4speed, i need to go back as original as possible, but i cant seem to find anything to tell me what the original rear gears would have been, the previous owner of the car thought they may have been changed, i assume for better fuel economy, buit the fender tag doesnt specify anything for me... any help?

Which rear end do you have, also is it an orginal R/T car (i'm assuming it is)? Just because the gears were replaced, doesn't necessarly mean the ratio was changed.

yeah, it is a true r/t, the old owner thought that he had changed the ratio about 12 years ago, but i wasnt sure if maybe for those options they had a standard ratio or not... thanks..
