Unfortunately, we're just legends in our own minds.
That we are!

Man I had to stop the vid when it got to that point,

I also didnt like the comment that this car would be worth over 12 mil in less than forty years, I realize it was a joke on his part, but it might just be adding gas to the gouging fire, great, thanks man...
so now when I try to get one at MSRP the salesman going to repeat that line for sure!
So I feel the gouging is really coming from the executive level after all, great PR guys keep it up!!!

And to have those guys show up like that just shows that there thinking in that department is a little short of a full deck, I wonder, when they released the Desoto, did they have the three stooges come up and present the car?

Yeah, the delivery was pretty smooth to that point (totally agree, made me cringe as well) and when he said "that'll make the competition comfortable"; I'm pretty sure he meant driver, 'cause I'm thinking "why would you like to outline features that make the competition comfortable?"

I forgot about that comment, I guess I regarded that as misspoken words, it didn't make any sense, maybe he meant "make the competition UNcomfortable"? that would make more sense to me...

Yeah, I wrote it off as a gaff. You know he was sweating it, none too fun for all eyes upon ya! But he handled it well 'til "the grand finale"

I totally told my wife it was going to be Petty and progeny.

I will second that one. There was an article about a year ago where Barry Newman was driving the concept car in the desert. They asked him his impressions and a little bit about the movie. May have been Motor Trend, can't remember.

Should have been Kowalski from Vanishing Point with a white one, anyone agree?

I have seen those guys do the stupidest things on their show building bikes, really dumb machining practices (I am a 22 year veteran toolmaker) more of a comic relief if anything, I dont want to dog everything they do, It's just I dont see the connection that they have with this car, They should have got someone that would of had some serious energy like, motor city mad man Ted Nugent, a future owner, anyone!
