$34K seems a bit...EXPENSIVE!!! I was expecting $31 or $32K.

RE: RT Pricing
In relation to the SRT8, it does, doesn't it? Just a $4,000 premium for the SRT8's larger engine, other amenities and larger engine? Who wouldn't just plunk down the extra few thousand and get the SRT8? And a $10k step up from the poser-ish V6 base model? On the other hand, the Challenger R/T pricing of $34k basically mirrors the Charger R/T pre-incentive price of ~$31.5k. I kind of wonder if the R/T will the unloved stepchild; unless Dodge either adjusts the SRT8 price up (likely) or the R/T price down (unlikely) I suspect everyone will go for the SRT8 or get the base model.

You're forgetting about the gas guzzler tax. Even at $34k it's still $6,000 less than the SRT-8. And only short by 45hp. I think the opposite. . . The R/T will be the most popular model. That said, something's gotta happen here with pricing. 34k for the R/T is too much and if they move it down to a more realistic 31k, that puts it at $9000 less than the SRT-8. Who is going to pay an extra 9 grand for 45hp?? Either the R/T will get the current 340hp or the SRT-8 will get more horsepower.
Oh well, I'm getting the poserish V6 anyway so I'm not worried about it

You can also go to Dodge.com and build your own Charger to get a rough idea on the R/T price.
