Rumors- Who to Believe?
Those were probably quality control and durability test cars. If you read all through allpar the say production starts 4/21 and expect delivery may/june. Due the current status the 08's are in I would say thats about right. Again, I hope I'm wrong, but dealer sales persons know no more than we do. Once they go into production they will no longer be in C status. Once that changes we can do a count down, from k to z is only about 2 days.
That's like when Cat Stevens became Yusef Islam. Denouncing music. Yeah, Mac, who got a hold of ya?

I found this unbelievable post on another Chrysler forum.
"You heard it here first... 2008 SRT's with the 6.1 Auto... and 2009 SRT's with the 6.4 manual...
and that's it..... NO 2010 models...
Sorry to say it, but it is from a very reputable source..."
This can't be true. On allpar they are already posting that 3.5 V6 pre-production Challengers (the car for the masses) are coming off the assembly line.

I'm not sure but insn't that a LX platform forum. I believe there was talk about switching to the LY platform, supposingly lightening up the car. Maybe they will switch to the LY platform in 2010.
That's a rumor I'd love to have come true - The 2009 6.4 with manual.
It appears they are having so many issues as a company, the right hand doesn't know what the left hand is doing, or is that their little smoke and mirrors game to drive price gouging.
Will the announcements at the NY AutoShow be accurate/informative or will it drive much more speculation because of what they don't say.
