73Cuda340, are they saying the '09 available in July of '08? Or are they asserting that a manual transmission will not be availabe in the actual year 2009?

Ordered at 2:06 today, Hemi Orange, Performance Tires, Sun roof. Did not get the navigation.

MSRP came in at $41,095 with those options.

Still may call back and cancel the sunroof? NOT 100% on this option, any thoughts from everyone?

Was told that every dealer is guaranteed one car for the 08, and that they expect deliveries to start in mid to late April.

 

Dont get the sunroof. a large black section on your orange roof wont look good.

 

I'd have to say, of course get the sunroof -- how could you not? Especially if they never do build a convertible, you need some way to open up the top!

 

Just left the local Dodge dealership....dropped a grand down to secure my order. Went to Dodge Direct and the salesman showed me where my order had been accepted. Won't know if I'm one of the lucky ones as far as it getting there firstus with the mostus. Got it at MSRP, just had to sign a statement that I would not sell the car for at least a year....are they crazy! Hemi Orange...........look out! Didn't want the sunroof...just got the performance tires as an option.

 

Skip the sunroof and save $950. Car looks better without it!

 

12/3 called my salesman. Said dealer ordered 4, two in Hemi Orange. He did not know pricing and order of sales or how many dealership would get.

The salesman I spoke to said there is no certainty that a manual transmission will be available in the calendar year 08 even with the 09 model. According to him (his sources), he said they are having difficulty with the manual 6-speed tranny's they have been testing. He did not mention whether the '09 Challengers in 2009 will have one or not.

how tall are you? and does anyone know how much headroom these cars have without the sunroof. I think it would look better without, but from the inside, sunroofs are kinda cool.

 

That would suck... if I can't get a manual SRT8 I'll just have to supercharge my Mustang.
