RE: So who's placing their order on Monday December 3rd.?
I went to the Boston Auto Show last night. While talking to the booth bunnies, I found out they are telling people the "dealers" can order the car today 1 December 07. I was surprised by this because like most of us, I heard the 3 December date. Then she said, there will be so few cars that each dealer that wants one will order the car and who ever is first on "their" list will be able to have first refusals on 3 December 07 (esstially ordering the car). She went on to say, all the '08's are already sold (to dealers) and the general public will "order" the car from them.
This jives with something else I heard. Of all the '08's built, they will have a production number plague. So for instance, if the dealer is able to get a car, then, you, the "first" consumer, would not have a choice or chance of getting a specific production number car - even if you arrive at your dealreship at 0900 Easter Time on Monday. You will get whatever build number is being delivered to the dealreship.
BTW - the Concept Challenger still looks good, but I am gettign tired of seeing it. I want to see the production car - guess I will just have to wait till February. The rest of the show was just OK. There were only three cars at the show anyway, the Mustang, Challenger and camaro. I think I saw a Lambourgini there too, but it was obscured from my view by the big three. 8^)

The R/T option, again, is very attractive. Anyone ever evaluate the K&N Air intake upgrades? Are they actually good for a boost in HP? If so, that's an easy enough mod to do in an afternoon and undo (when you need warranty service).

As you noted, both are easily reversible for warranty service.

As I have previously said, I am waiting until 2009 to buy my SRT.
For those of you who are buying in 2008, it would be great if you could post photos and let the rest of us know your purchase price and your dealer.

I myself have another dilema on my hands. Finacially I will only be able to afford one of the 2 vehicles I want. One being the Dodge Powerwagon and the other is the new Chally of course. My dilema is as follows: The Challenger has always been a lifelong dream of mine since I was about 4 or 5, when my parents had a '70 that belonged to mom and a '71 that belonged to my dad. On the other hand the Powerwagon is going to be the more practical vehicle for the business I intend to start. I would love to hear yalls input and possibly help in my final choice between these 2 beautiful peices of machinery.
Thank you in advance for any input you may be able to offer me in my time of confusion. [sm=feedback.gif]

I'm planning on starting my own resto and custom shop. I will need the truck to pull trailers and haul parts. I wont be able to afford both because I have to buy a house and have quite a bit of money left over to get my business up and running.... you know tools, shop, oh and the most important thing the cars to restore if there number matching cars, and custom if there not.
