RE: So who's placing their order on Monday December 3rd.?
Which ever way I deside to go I plan on paying cash for the vehicle, and everything else I buy just in case my business dont take off like I want it to, so I wont lose everything. It's just getting closer to decission time and I want to make the right choice, and thank you for the advice I will take it into consideration.

Ask God, to help you make the wisest choice. That is the best advice I can give you.

I'll be waiting for more color options. I can't stand silver. Black looks ok, but have to stay on top of it to look good. The Hemi orange is really sharp, but bright colors attract attention. some good, some bad. I've only owned red cars, it's time for a change.

Paladin06,
I know I've given disclaimers in other recent posts about knowing the difference, RumbleBee is also not a SuperBee and I get that...
If you look at my Avatar, you'll probably understand why I would be able to discern the two. Being that they will not likely offer a superbee again (aka a rebranded coronet for marketing purposes), I'd certainly settle for a SuperBee Challenger (aka Challenger with decals to market and make an irrational amount of additional money just for decals etc).
The reason being, my stepfather owned (and my mother now owns) a '69.5 SuperBee SixPack with all original numbers and only 11K miles on it in showroom condition. Me purchasing this package would be an homage to my recently passed stepfather. That would be the reason I would get it.
I agree with you on the 4dr Charger, I think it was a dis-service to Charger fans. Hopefully, they will make amends.
A Challenger is not a SuperBee just like that four door bucket of bolts is not a Charger.

I'm so sick of hearing people bashing the Charger - "bucket of bolts" and such other crap.
Why the attitude and derrogatory remarks? Have you owned a new (2005-2008) Charger? Was it a lemon? Did it ever strand you? OR is it simply because the car has four doors? Big deal!
If it was named anything OTHER than Charger, would it be less or more of a well built, dependable, powerful AMERICAN MADE car that uses the best and latest technology available - MUCH of which will be used in the Challenger?
Aren't they basically the same car - with only a slightly different wheelbase, skin, and 2 less doors?
I drive a PT Cruiser (MOPAR). My wife drives a Charger R/T (again, MOPAR) (no imports in OUR driveway!) and it's an excellent car - stylish, reliable, powerful, fast, and STILL gets 25+ MPG! Ours is completely stock and I'd put it up against any other STOCK vehicle from any other manufacturer in the same size/price range for comfort, safety, mileage and style - on or off the dragstrip!
Maybe the "loathers" are pi$$y because the Charger concept wasn't the same as the production car.....maybe there are HUGE differences between the two. But to call the Charger a "bucket of bolts" is WAY out of line.
Maybe their ANGER should be directed toward DCX and NOT the car for changing it's configuration between concept and production (IT doesn't know how many doors it has). OR you can direct your pent-up frustration toward Cerberus for limiting production of the 2008 Challenger to just 5000 units (the dealers on eBay are reporting 4500 units available) so the stealerships can GOUGE the loyal MOPAR customers for MSRP + $10,000.00 (reserve not met) and putting it beyond the reach of the average guy.
Direct your anger/frustration where it belongs. All of the b*tch*ng about "history" won't change a thing.
Here's an idea - Lets try posting something POSITIVE instead of the incessant and habitual "negative comments".

I'm planning on starting my own resto and custom shop. I will need the truck to pull trailers and haul parts. I wont be able to afford both because I have to buy a house and have quite a bit of money left over to get my business up and running.... you know tools, shop, oh and the most important thing the cars to restore if there number matching cars, and custom if there not.

RE: So who's placing their order on Monday December 3rd.?
So, my dealership called me today. I have an appointment at 1500 hours today. I have been speaking with these guys for years now (at least since I got in the list) and I negotiated over a year ago that I would only pay MSRP for the car - since as I told them, it is a Charger SRT8 with Challenger skin. SO I got confirmation they the price would stand at the MSRP for the Charger SRT8, roughly 44K
So now the clock is ticking for me. TO get an '08 or wait till the '09. They are telling me the '09 will essentially be the same as the '08, they are not thinking the 6-speed manual will make it into the '09 - something about track tests and the back end of the Challenger braking loose. So as far as they think, the '08 and '09 will be the same (except for a number'ed plate).
I like their attitude, they basically said - hey its a just another car, what do you want to do?
What would you do?

Hi Folks! I'm lucky enough to buy from a dealership that still cares about their customers! They called me on Saturday to ask what color I would want! I've been on their waiting list (#2) for almost a year and a half and have a contractual agreement/letter not to pay more than MSRP. I'm not holding out much hope for an 08 though (because of limited numbers).
