Looks like I will be pulling the trigger on a 2009 Challenger and was wondering what you other members think. Is the SRT8 worth 11K more than the R/T?

It seems like I read somewhere that someone mentioned loading up the R/T with go fast goodies and still have 5-6K left over.

id say yes..you can bet ford and GM are busy trying to figure out how to counter the challenger and hoping that the 6.4L is a no show..car may be heavy and the interior may not be up to par.....but the car is beautiful and invokes memories of yore in a manner that the camaro and mustang does not

I look at it this way. The RT has the exact same looks, better MPG and warranty.
You would also be money in the pocket to trac pack it, and add a couple bolt on's.

Well the biggie is the 6.1 is in the SRT8 and the R/T has the 5.7
How much do you want to spend adding HP to the 5.7 to get it close to the 6.1?
Kind of obvious in my book but to each his own.

A loaded up RT is close to 40 SRT8 mid 40s loaded up I gess it all depends on what you are wanting . My car has almost a 1000 miles on it now and its really comeing alive .At first I didnt think it could run with a GT 500 but now its geting broke in IM rethinking that . JUst today I was thinking this think really pulls hard . I have a shelby GT350 supercharger running 425 HP and It wouldnt touch the challenger I have owned a gt500 and there a very strong car and will out run most street cars in my opion just a the SRT8 challenger could with just a few add ons . You cant beat size in the end in my opion
