I am not going to join your mutual admiration society, but here are my thoughts.
I hope I can get an SRT with a 6.4L. Instantly the engine internals will be beefier along with the suspension etc.
With that I will add the power adder and accessories knowing that the stronge engine will take the additonal abuse.

In a word YES!!
Wife and I just went for a little cruise... 50 foot burnouts... first time either of us have been up to 130 in a car... and amazingly quick getting there! So, my take... The Car is definately worth it to get the SRT8... IMHO...

Wise choice in any fashion, but glad to see you joining the The Challenger SRT8 crowd. Can't wait to get THE CAR!

Hey Mjorgensen Thanks a lot for the insight bro I always suspected the 6 1 as being the car for guys that wont mod it and from what ive read on this topic it totally sounds that way People are buying the SRT because it kicks ass of course but like you said with readily available parts the 5 7 can easily overcome the 6 1

I love the analogy of with the extra 11k you can have a totally unique car that will take the SRT that is exactly what im going for in maybe a year or so you said you have packages that you fellas are working on will they be for sale My girlfreinds dad owns a shop and Id love to be able to buy something like a package for the R T and have him install it You seem like a great inside loop on whats to come and everyone is talking about the extra 11k but me im going to wait and steal the first used black R T I can, then ill probably have maybe 16-18k difference. Just food for thought. Thanks and any info would be great, or insight you have. Your opinion on this is totally what I was hoping to hear eventually ive felt that way the whole time but dont have any expertise to validate that feeling

IMHO its not whether you scrimp on the cash for buying the car as in an RT and then spend a bundle to get it up to or beyond SRT level or you spend the cash and go straight to the SRT and then spend a bundle making it a vastly SUPER car. Its all a matter of personal preference. Personally I am going for an SRT so that I will have the best options for that particular car. Then at Xmas and B-days etc. I will have a nice shooping list for Santa, Easter Bunny etc. of items to buy for it. Yes it is more money that way but as I have stated before in posts, I am going to have this car until I go to the Happy Drag Strip in the sky and it will be where I put all of my mad money.

There was never a question about getting the SRT8, it was if I can get the 6.4L. Then get the power adders like bruce41 and bling, bling like Paladin06.

honestly if the 6.4 was available I don't think we would be haveing this disscussion. But because the re-vamped 5.7 and the quickly ageing 6.1 or so close in numbers I think that's the real kicker in this argument.
