It's just a smart marketing ploy.
The secrecy has us all talking about the Challenger and wondering if it will actually be a clone of the concept car.

It could be a marketing ploy to try to get us to do the work for them and get the word out about it. Interesting idea if that is what they are doing.

I feel like you all may be giving DCX a little more credit than they deserve, but I agree that it's def an interesting marketing strategy, and if that's their plan, it's working for them so far. As I stated before, I am just nervous about getting so excited only to be let down by another bait and switch, a la the Charger.
And for any fans on this board of the new Charger, please don't take offense over the statements I have made about it. I actually think it's a pretty cool car if you just take it as it is, but them putting the Charger name on it and doing the 180 on their concept car left a very sour taste in my mouth.
Now I am salivating more than ever, but at the same time trying not to get my hopes up too much.
Also, why does everyone hate the B-Pillar so much? It only slightly changes the look. What it does do is make it safer, insurance cheaper, decreases the chances of faulty seals and moisture problems, etc.
It's not as pretty, but it seems like it's a lot more functional? Am I way off base here?

No, you are not off base. I am a "B" pillar fan myself because of structural integrity for road performance, plus everything else you stated.
I think everybody else doesn't like the looks.
