I've never heard of Chrysler shipping a car in a covered truck and I've been at my dealership for 12 years. I think they are pulling your leg a little but congratulations. Did I see that you live in Ventura ? I grew up in Oxnard, Port Hueneme area.

I just called the 800# and the lady on the other end told me in am still in "C". she told me I have been in "C" status for over 100 days and they would be calling the dealership to see what is going on. I bought the #2 allotment at the dealership on 12/10, I'm wondering if my late ordering date is affecting my status.

 

Hey all, just checked this morning, as of 4/16 D1 status and a ship date of 4/29. Because i'm just a few hours away from detroit, and just a few hours further from brampton, i'm hoping to get mine before christmas

just check all 7 ordered for our dealer --all of them went on d status yesturday ---now this morning back to c status

My dealer advised the same move from c to d and back to c and still have a vin#. Something very crazy is going on. Especially when some higher vin# are going out before the lower ones. Also, it appears there is something to black ones being first and california, is logistics playing a part as well. I think build decisions are being influenced, but by what? Obviously it is not by order entry which it should be, any other way has the appearance of deceit. But of course, it is always the "money", which is why logistics may play a part. Maybe they are sending out batches in different regions to stimulate public interest. Who knows? I believe the dealerships are just as much in the dark as we are. The dealer as I'm being told can't see anything except status until it goes to D1, once that occurs they can see estimated ship dates. 1-800 Dodge refers us to our dealerships for more information when in fact they (Dodge) are holding it all.

 

I hate to keep repeating myself but, looks like my dealership was right about the delay.

 

Main reason i want my car before the end of summer is i have allot of break in to do before winter comes and i start to mod the engine and drive train. 4100 pound car needs more then 425 hp to keep up with those dang chevys.

 

HEY CHRYSLER, REMEMBER US, YOUR CUSTOMERS? TELL US SOMETHING!

Wouldn't it be nice if Chrysler came out an just said "we have to delay production "X" days due to start up problems at our Brampton plant, we will keep you updated of our progress." Why all the secrecy and the total lack of info? Come on Chrysler, get your head out of the sand, we want our cars.

 

The latest on the delay is April 28, which is one week. You said we wouldn't see our cars til late June, which means they would be delayed another 7-8 weeks. Could happen but can't imagine that will be the case. I just hope you're not right.
