I believe all the cars that went from C status to D status yesterday all went back to C status today. I know a couple people reported that was the case at their dealers and my slaesperson confirmed the same thing to me. Has anyone that changed status yesterday checked their status today?

Wow, look at all the D-status's. Well I would like to tell everyone that my dealership's owner's wife's car that I ordered is now in D status as well. Congrat's to her and you should be hearing from Dodge soon. I've filed my complaint!

I got my VIN from the Dodge phone number today. My dealer is still unable to produce it. Now I forgot to bring it home. I think it's 301099. I understand the 289 numbers seem to be the first being produced. Can anyone tell by the 301?
Also, I asked this last night but I'm going to put it out there again. Can anyone tell me for sure this car does not have an open rear end? I found this video that seems to show that it does.

Also, maybe I'm old fashion but I want a car that will light em up. Can any of you Dodge guys tell me how to go about disabling traction control and ESP? I will sell the car imediately if I cannot overcome this problem. Am I the only one that feels this way? I had dreams of funny car burnouts or drifting through a parking lot. I had a 67 Chevelle SS and a 70 GTO and my dream is to have something as powerful but with the interior comfort and dependability of a new car.
PS Please don't tell me there are buttons to disable them because they do not work.

I also went from D to C today :-(
I can guarantee it will be a 2009 if this keeps up much longer. It's not just the delay, but lack of any updates from Dodge. I would think they have more smarts then to promote the 2009's as a fall build if we were in for a long delay.

jockomikey,
Awsome video and beautiful car, BUT, That car is a 2009 that may have a manual transmission and the new rear end. Look at the video I uploaded. The car is brake torquing with one wheel spinning. A limited slip and a anti-spin rear end (which this car has) are apparently two different things. I think most people will be happy with a beautiful car they can wax and drive around town. There must be less liability to these companies if they put electronic controls on their cars. You can push a button on the Mercedes S55 and totally disable electronic stability control but on these Dodge cars the button only partially disables them. I'm hoping someone of Dodge expertise can tell me how to disable the system

GPMAN - I ordered the 2008 Challenger SRT8 owner's manual to read prior to receiving my Challenger. It talks about the ESP system on page 240. There are three different modes the driver can set the ESP to.
ESP ON
ESP Partial Off
ESP Full Off
Hope this helps. Cheers!
