As for me, I had deposits with 3 different dealers almost a year before you could order one. One of those dealers already had 20 people on thier wait list. The other 2 I was able to coerse into starting a list and gain the #1 spot on each. One of those dealers decided when order time came they would be asking $20k over MSRP, and the other came through at MSRP... nothing more... nothing less. That is the dealer I went with. Has been a bit touch and go since that time though, as nobody seems to stick around there more than 3-6 months, and I've been in regular contact just to make sure they know I am still out there.

I walked into my dealer on 12/10 with a check, and walked out with a Challenger. That simple. I didn't even know they went on sale on 12/3. I read online on a Sunday that the cars already sold out and had a car on Monday. My dealer had an allotment for 2 and I got #2. When I walked in, the sales manager was on the phone trying to sell this car, and that when I walked in. I payed over MSRP, but the way I see it, I lost my chance to buy a 72 Challenger over 10 years ago, so this is payback.

 

i checked about an hour ago --it says its shipping on tuesday 4-22-08 hurry up tuesday cant wait

do you know if it ships truck the entire way, or does it go by rail to a hub somewhere, then by truck??? how many days do you think it will take to get to you??

 

i think it will be trucked all the way in a enclosed trailer...dont think they will be on a rail car.....
it could take up to 10 days ---well just have to wait and see

 

Enclosed trailer? Never heard of such a thing for the shipment of a production vehicle. What makes you think it will be enclosed?
