You know, if Dodge is smart, they won't offer the tracking service (or lack thereof) on the '09s. The first rule of business should always be: Never give any customer any information about anything. That way, nobody's really happy but nobody's really disappointed, either.

How long is the line? What is our place/count in the line. How many trucks are they using? How many cars can GF take? All of these factors will havea bearing on whether or not our cars make it to GF. Based off of the past records I will not hold my breath.

BTW: I/we do appreciate your information & update. We are just a little bitter with the way dodge has valued our patronage.

 

So, Ignorance is Bliss. Is it to much to ask for a company to produce a car in a proper order? First come first serve. Should we be ignorant to what is going on behind the curtain? A company that performs the way it should, shouldn't need to be concerned with keeping information from the customer. They should be open and honest. That would have worked much better form me.

 

All that's true, Birddog. But you know as well as I do that ISN'T the way things are done in the real world. Mistakes (and there apparently have been plenty with the entire '08 production and delivery process) happen, particularly on a new item. Most of the time, customers never even know about it because the information IS kept behind the curtain. I'll bet you whoever came up with the tracking idea at Dodge is currently checking the Help Wanted ads. Look at what this whole process has done: p*ss of a LOT of people. Had they not started it, no one would have been the wiser and would have been perfectly happy when their cars finally showed up.

 

I might have until I started comparing VIN numbers and Badge numbers and started to wonder why someone with a much higher vin had a much lower badge. That would have probably made me madder had it happened that way as I would have thought Dodge was intentionally keeping it from me instead of just being inept.
