My dealer called and said it was scheduled to be built starting the 13th of May.

I went to the Challenger order tracker and confirmed it was in D1.

Vin 8H290067 (not that it matters, since they don't seem to be building them in any particular order)

I have a VIN in the 30's. Still in C Status. Another at my dealer is in D1, had a scheduled build date of 4/24, but not shipping until 5/13.

Let's be real here. Has anyone seen a truckload of Challengers moving? Secondly, Stripes, do you really think that the factory is applying stripes? My thought would be that is farmed out as well. Assembly line? No word from the line? Dodge has the track site, but really.....

They will deliver these cars when they want.

We will never really know, but the closer they get to the 09 models, the more incentive the dealers and Dodge have to move us in to a 09, when they never had intended on shipping us a 2008.

A little tip, here is how you can tell a dealer and a US automaker are lying? their lips are moving.

Dodge has a hit, and they will play us for all it's worth.

All that is says on the website is that the car is "confirmed". It still has 7 steps listed from framing to delivery that have not occurred yet.

It is much more vague than your report. With no estimated delivery date.

I noticed that also. I went to D status on 3/27, I hope that means that I may be closer than some. Hope ,hope, hope.

According to Bob Frederick, the first retail Cahllengers will roll off the line 5/5. What does that say about all these ship dates, cars on trains, trucks and delivery dates that are today and the near future? Is all that stuff BS. I will say I have not seen a picture of any Challenger in anyone's drive way. This is all so frustrating. I first decided I wanted a Mopar muscle car at an early age, I had no money and the parents thought that was not a good idea. Then by the time I got a license, the real muscle cars were gone. That was 1974 and before, I guess a little wait won't kill me, but it still stinks. BTW who is Bob Frederick?
