08s? Oh, yes. I vaguely recall reading in history books about those quaint, almost-turn-of-the-century cars. They were the Model Ts of the New Challengers. Archaeologists recently discovered one that some old fellow out in Arizona had in a garage he had turned into a shrine or a museum. Apparently, he never drove the car, just sat in it. He was long gone, of course, but there was a note found next to his bones saying he would sell the car for $25 billion. Unfortunately, it had never been driven, so everything on it was seized up. All the archaeologists could do was call in a scrap-metal dealer and have it hauled away. And then there are some of those old two-dimensional "moving pictures" of a long-haired man apparently trying to set the tires of one 08 on fire. Unfortunately, the "moving pictures" are so faded that you cannot even see what color the 08 was. And then there was that dentist in Michigan who bought one right before his evil plot to dynamite the Detroit water system's fluoride supply was discovered and he was hauled off to prison. Apparently, he was trying to drum up business to pay for the car. Too bad those 08 models were not modern like the all-new, up-to-date 2009 Challengers.

The BABY arrived today after a ten month wait and it is beautiful. They didn't call me, so I didn't get to see it unloaded, I just happened to arrive an hour later. They said that there was a white one still on the truck. The detail guy said he gave it the full half hour he is allotted to look it over and said he couldn't find a flaw. It is raining and nasty here today, so I will not pick it up until tomorrow. The carbon fiber hood stripes are waiting to be put on it and I want the spoiler painted black and an R/T emblem put on it. I don't know how soon they will get to it but he said that I was job #1 and then they will detail it out to the max. It all sounds good to me. After waiting this long, I'm in no hurry but the wife is another story. I took some pictures but the digital camera is new and I don't know how to download them yet. As soon as I figure it out, I'll post some pic's.

CONGRATS! Of course we will need first impressions to go along with the pics. Interesting to hear first hand how it rides, power etc. I am sure it should be similar to what the 08 folks have said but being an RT and not the SRT there may be some differences.

To be a member you must prove that you have either lots of any kind of glue or a large stash of Budwiser or your favorite brew. We want no members insane from waiting on their Challenger and this is what has been proven to help by other recent forum members but I can't mention any names.
