Welcome to gang man!! I live just up the road from ya in Roanoke so when we get our new rides and weather permitting (as if it even rains anymore in TX) we'll have to do a cruise together. Take care and thats a beautiful machine!!

Thought that username sounded familiar.... I'm on moparts as well; more of a lurker than an active poster, due to a lot of negativity there lately. You're also on cuda-challenger as well, right? Welcome to the site, and awesome Cuda![sm=smiley20.gif]

Thought the car looked familiar.... Mr. August!
Hi TeeWJay426 - Yep, I am "xs29j8" on most boards as well as eBay... one notable exception is on the forum at http://www.dodgecharger.com where someone else snagged the ID before I could, so I am "xs29j8Bullitt" on there. Thanks for remembering Ole' Yeller from the Cuda-Challenger forum, and you are right, the car is the August car in the calendar (Mopar Nats month![sm=icon_cheers.gif]).

On Moparts I try to stay out of the fray, but things do seem to be getting worse... I wonder if it might have something to do with an out of control Mod stirring up things?... Things seem a lot calmer at most other forums...

Your ID was the first one that I recognized on this board! See you around on the forums...[sm=gears.gif]

Also, since this is a Challenger forum, here are the ones that I currently own (also have a couple of parts cars):

1970 Challenger T/A - 340 Six Pak/Auto
1971 Challenger R/T - 383/4Speed
1970 Challenger Convertible - 383/Auto

Composite picture attached...

Hello Neighbor!... We indeed live very close, I live near Alliance Airport... Cruising the new Challengers sounds great, I hope we can do it in the next year or so!!!

Thanks to you and the other forum members for your kind words about Ole' Yeller. I have owned that 'Cuda for about 25 years, and have had a lot of fun with the car. The restoration is over 22 years old, so it is not a "show puppy"... I have put thousands of miles on it since the restoration. When I restored it, the ONLY restoration part available for it was the carpet from Auto Custom Carpets! I plan freshen it up just a bit sometime soon, but nothing too much because I am tied up in several restorations at the moment. Repainting the engine, fixing the power steering and transmission leaks, and a nicer exhaust system would be a great start...

Thanks RLSH700 ! The T/A is my favorite... I wish its restoration was done!!! I haven't driven it in a couple of years now, so I need to flush the fuel system and kit the carbs... I hope to get it going sometime soon.

I also need to complete the "forever project" Challenger convertible... its sooooooooooooo close!

The '71 Challenger R/T is a rolling body at the moment...

Thanks for the welcome guys... mostly catching up on the existing threads. I have been on Moparts and some other forums for several years, but now I am joining all the "new" Challenger forums...

Thanks!... BTW, my first car was a 1962 Chevy Impala SS with a 327 and automatic trans... I am trying to find the VIN number to track the car down if it still exists. I would like to buy it back, or at least have a good look at it if the owner is too attached!

Your welcome! I'm normally not the biggest fan of lime green but I love it with the convertible. The Challenger looked really good with that color.

The 327 is to Chevrolet as the 318 is to Dodge...bulletproof! You sure have a lot of vehicles, what's the next buildup?

Yes, I have a lot of vehicles... most of them still projects. With the current market prices, I am going to eBay a few to generate the funds to complete the rest. I will start having most of the work done by someone else, at my age (51) I am running out of time to undertake multiple looooooooooong restoration projects.

As far as the future projects, the current plan is:

1) Finish the Challenger Convertible restoration (about 95% done now)
2) Assembly my Limelight Green 4 Speed 1970 Hemi 'Cuda (just a painted body shell at the moment)
3) Start the restoration of my Triple Black Automatic 1968 Hemi Charger R/T

In case anyone is wondering, I bought most of these cars over 20 years ago when no one wanted them... times have changed!

Here are some pictures of the 'Cuda and Charger...
