Of course if you really want to go as fast as the speedo you have to go get an Orange one. Its not called HEMI Orange for nothing!

ORIGINAL: SRT8INWV

Thank you for all input on the car.
So does the Challenger srt8 have a rev limiter or will it do what the speedo says?
Of the 3 colors which have the less production.
Is the black ones really slower ? haha I know they arent so should I go silver .

Thanks again guys .

It doesen't have a "Rev limiter" but a fuel cutoff at the red line of around 6300 rpm I believe.(maybe 6500) I know mine ran right up to 150 mph this morning on the beltway to work at 4:20 AM. About 2/3 rds of a mile from a roll on 65mph. Feels really solid at speed when accelerating too!!! That damn SEG is becoming a real problem at dinner time!!

Silver is the least common color. Orange is the most common. I dont know about a rev limiter, anyone pegged the throttle yet? But I do know that the SRT8 does NOT have a speed govenor. The top speed is limited only by aerodynamics.

It has a govenor, but its factory set at 180. You have a rev limit in park or neutral of 4200 that drove me nuts! Now I have no limits in any gear. I have set a RPM limit of 6500 rpm in case I fall asleep at the wheel doing 160.... Hate to over rev while I'm in REM. :-)
