Hey whats up dudes! Just discovered this site! Very cool, wish I had the money for a new Challenger maybe someday get a good used one. I just finished this and am broke. Great to be here. This car will be ina local challenger commercial this summer 07.

I would love to run a new Challenger 6.1 Hemi/manual against my vintage car both in drag racing 1/4 mile, and on a road race course. I know I would probably be slaughtered but I think it would be a lot of fun and very interesting. My car is "bombed" pretty good in the engine/transmission area also the suspension/chassis is as well. The new Challenger is incredible and I want one BAD!!

haha!

some sites have titles such as newibie...first gear member..second gear member..etc. instead, we use engine sizes of the challenger...

Yes, I have but mostly durability enhacements such as Eddies heads which are basically aluminum copies of the 452/906 iron heads with durability enhacements like bronze guides, hardened seats, stainless valves ect..then a complete comp. cams k-kit and comp pro-mag roller rockers which are steel.Ross forged pistons/pins,,Manley rods,speed-pro ductile/moly rings.10.5 comp.ratio with 296/512 lift hyd. cam, and comp.929 dual springs. The engine made 538 h.p. 550 Torque. The engine was built by Matt Hensley and the transmission A-833 18-spline, built by Herb McCandless. Thanks for the nice compliment!

Also, RLSH700, I forgot to tell you. The Challenger is currently being"modded" with PRO-MAX billet metering blocks for the outboard carbs,(its a sixpack),,this includes the whole shomoly which is the billet metering blocks, rear billet base plate, Holley jets and blue gaskets. I had a stumble going to WOT but that is to be expected cosidering the increase in airflow both in the heads and the exhaust which I went with a complete TTI 1 7/8 Ceramic thermal barrier headers into a full 3 inch system all jet hot coated, that "little project" costs me 2800.00! So I need to richen the transition, the pro-max allows a holley jet instead of drilling and figuring and the rear carb doesnt need to be removed! It will go on the Mustang Chassis Dyno some time this week or next, I cant wait and hope to get it on the road at least once before winter comes and I will put it up for good!

The original numbers matching engine. What else would I use?

Am I misunderstanding you, or are you saying you got that out of a slant six?
