From what I have read they were going to until Mercedes raised the underworld about the fact that it beat the SLR McLaren.

they were originally going to build it, and compete with the super car market, but it was my understanding that alot of dealerships wanted to part of a $250,000 chrysler...

If that is true that is a foolish idea. It would have sold and there wouldn't have been many of them. Heaven forbid Chrysler make a car that competes in the world class.
