It's the classic match up. Readers want to read about the classic muscle car battle. The classic battle is Ford's Mustang vs. Chevy's Camaro. Spend any time at the track? MT can't help it if Dodge hasn't had a dog in that fight for quite sometime. When Dodge builds it, that should change. I have a feeling a few Challengers will show up to show their stuff. Isn't competition grand?

Yes, but Motor Trend picked Camaro and Mustang because it is a "classic muscle car battle" and good for the readers not because Dodge is trying to surprise anybody.
That is totally a different issue that has to do with Dodge marketing strategy and not MotorTrend's strategy.

The reason why is Motor Trend is just trying to sell more of their worthless magazines. They have no idea what they are talking about. An article like that belongs on a forum such as this, not in a magazine. Too much bias selection to help the Camaro win in every category.
