Default Did the 2005 Mustang GT have a markup on price?

way back in 05,right when the new body mustang gt came out did dealers markup over sticker or what? I am talking about the 2005 Mustang GT, NOT shelby or anything else. Right when it came out... and if it was marked up, how much and how long?

I wasn't in the market at the time so I didn't pay attention but I heard that it was. I don't think it lasted more than 6 months though. In comparison to what dodge is doing with challenger. . . I don't know if it's really relevant. Ford knew mustangs would sell, and I believe they spent more time between unveiling the concept and producing the actual car. Dodge hurried into production and challenger isn't that well known of a name (I'd not heard of it until i saw the concept) so there won't be as many. . . so more markup lasting longer.

I believe there was a markup at first, and then when that went away alot of dealers were stubborn, and would not sell for less than msrp.

I remember there being mark-ups. Now don't jump the gun Justinec101, it hasn't happened just yet. This is just speculation at this point as the Challenger hasn't been sold yet.
