it took the Japanese manufacturers 40 years to really make the impact in the US market, and then not all have made it either, like Daihatsu. But Honda and and Toyota continued to push their envelopes in manufacturing, always looking for improvement, and taking nothing for granted but building a quality vehicle. It's unfortunate Chrysler, Ford, and GM took the US market for granted but they haven't thrown in the towel. I give the Koreans credit in that they are figuring things out, but they still have considerable in roads to make to be more than just a lower budget/dollar vehicle.
