Famed forum member Steve Legel is in town for a dental convention, so he and I had lunch today. Yes, I picked him up in the Challenger (no garage queen here; it's out on the real downtown streets at high noon). Yes, he talked some guy into taking pictures. Yes, he promises to post them. And no, I didn't take him to a trendy tourist joint for Mexican food. Instead, I showed him the true San Antonio by taking him to an excellent establishment that's located in a former Pizza Hut building. Dining there is always an adventure, since between having to use broken Spanish with a wait staff that has to utilize broken English, you're never quite sure what you're getting till it arrives.

 

Oh...yes, Steve wore his Challenger shirt. Perfect attire for a dental conventioneer. [8D]

Actually, Steve's shirt is kind of a Hawaiian-looking model that alternates pictures of an orange 08 with a black 70 Challenger. It's pretty cool.

 

They are nice shirts, a bit pricy at over 70.00 per, but nice none the less.....I will be purchasing one in the near future........

I appreciate Bob picking me up and touring me and taking me to lunch. His SE is a fine ride and well appointed. It got a share of thumbs up looks as we cruised through San Antonio.

Bob met me on Thursday the first day of the convention. I did not leave until Sunday evening, and got home to Detroit around 1:00AM Monday and put in a full day at the office. Now that I'm on my time, I am happy to share the pictures of Bob and I and his Challenger and the "Bun and Barrel" root beer stand.
