Yeah, Axel, I'm with you too. They should have remained a GM product. I'm sure they got first dibs but wouldn't provide the amount of cars or something...either that or the new producer's a blue oval guy.

They could have got a pre-prodution camaro to have in the show, like in Transformers.

That was my thought as well. If they could get it for Transformers, why not Knight Rider (and this is coming from someone who hates the looks of the Camaro).

My guess, they would need quite a few production ready camaros to crash and of course a hero car (one that you see in low/moderate speed and still shots). They might not have had that ready for that level of use. I would have liked to see a camaro or firebird/gto/g8coupe as well. It may have sparked interst for the ponitac brand.

In most people's eyes a mustang is a mustang, so I would like to see want impact this may have for the mustang.

Good point about the crash scenes and so forth, I didn't think of that angle. I've grown bored with the Mustang since they are used in everything and seen everywhere, so I'm not excited about this.
