Pontiac G8
i dont know of any new cars that come with a fan that runs off of the engine...they are all electric. with something like my wifes 94 ram, yes...going from the clutch fan spinning on the water pump to the electric fans made a difference, but im about 99% sure that it comes with an electric fan.
as for the other items...
i believe that K&N claims 13hp from their full length intake...i think that superchips or someone makes a "Canned tune" in a hand tuner for the chargers, but im not sure what motor...and just changing the mufflers wont add any real power. now, if you went to a full exhaust system including headers, that would make a difference.

The only new vehicle that I'm aware of that runs the fan right off the engine is the Dakota, but I don't know of any cars as of yet.
As for the Charger vs. 300C SRT-8 versions, they are within the margin of error with each other, but in the 0-60 times it seems that the 300 might be slightly faster but that could have been from other factors (such as the weather on the days that they were tested as I have yet to see an example of the two of them being placed against each other).
I would say you could very easily get an R/T up to the performance standards of the SRTs for the cost difference between the two, the only thing that you will have to remember is your upgrades will not make it as valuable as a SRT will be years down the road even if it is faster since an SRT is a more exclusive package.

yeah thanks guys. I fully understand about the re-sale value. Forget K&N, Im talking about something from mopar. I read something not too long ago that was tested on the Hemi 5.7's like in my Ram that promised or advertised 10% horsepower increase on a cold-air intake and on the chip from MOPAR. So on a 345hp engine if you just did those two things wouldn't you end up with about 400hp at least? These were MOPAR products tested for the Hemi.
im almost certain that mopar doesnt offer a computer upgrade for the hemi, and if it does, id be interested in reading about it...
as for the cold air intake and whatnot, i worked for dodge, and they dont make many of their performance parts for newer models. im certain that someone else makes their CAIs, as i know that borla makes a great deal of their performance exhaust.
the K&N kit for the charger and 300 seems to be the highest performing of the CAIs that ive seen...

Yeah Mopar makes a cold air kit for the 5.7 and the 6.1. Maybe the chip I was looking at was made by somebody else but I remember when I found it they advertised it for the Hemi, with gains of 10%. I'd personally rather have Flowmasters but that's just me. I went to Mopar.com and they have new programs for the auto-stick I thought that was interesting. I know they have ECU's that put out a substantial increase. I saw one program that ran off windows and was like 2k, wow. Pretty sure that one wasn't street legal though.

MrKrisSullivan, you sometimes have to be careful with some of these products that claim to make improvements. I've known people that have purchased chips before that found that they made absolutely no difference. My advice is talk to people that have Chargers, 300s, and Magnums to find out what they have done to their engines to get what output. The only thing you will have to remember is that some upgrades that might have worked on the LX's 5.7L may not turn out the same on the new 5.7L since the engine has been updated, though an exhaust and air intake system shouldn't have changed that terribly much.
