Which Transmisson is right for me
everyone knows that im building a monte carlo for street purposes and i was wanting 2 put a 4speed in it but i went 2 a swap meet and saw the prices and kicked that idea and now im wanting 2 put a turbo 350 with a desent sized shift kit in it but im afraid that a 350 turbo wouldnt be able 2 hold up against my style of driving some people have told me 2 get a turbo 400 but i dont know if the 350 would hold up fine. and i dont know what type of kit i should get. i want to be able to realy fly through the gears but i dont want it to brake my neck every shift but i do want it to be able 2 preform really well. if anyone has any sugestions of opions please shear

RE: Which Transmisson is right for me
i know that this doesnt help any, and i apologize, but i have to comment...
if you went the right way and built yourself a mopar with a nice 727, it would break your neck, as well as hold up to street and strip use. ive pummeled my 727 for over 10 years now, and it has only broken a handful of times...and one time was due to a faulty case.

right on Bad Mirada -Years ago I had a '68 Charger w/a built 440 & 727. I put in a reverse manual shift valve body & a hemi
torque converter from Fairbanks. When I hit 2nd,it would shake the dashboard. Wish I still had it.
