Those incidents were few and far between nothing like 9/11 or the NEXT terror attack on US soil. Bringing down the twin towers was not worthless. To say it was worthless is to say all who have died since that horrible day while serving this great nation because of that attack, died for nothing. I do not believe that.

Terrorism is the new way of war and it will be for the forseeable future. We don't have to like it but we must understand it and adjust our nation and it's military or we will lose.

For a good read about the war on terror written back in 1992, try "The Next War" by Casper Weinberger. What is taking place in the world today he predicted back in the early 90's.

No, I said that STRATEGICALLY, it was worthless. Since the plane stunt was likely to work just one time, they would have been better to smash them into nuke power plants. That would have done a lot more widespread damage and quite probably caused a lot more deaths. Of course, we obviously are dealing with criminals here, not military masterminds.
