I was telling people this before they played Dallas, wasn't sure about the Greenbay game. But Manning was headed upward, as Romo was sliding. When they won the NFC, I said it was a very similar dynamic with NE to Dallas, teams running out of gas near the end of the season. Timing is critical. And NE just didn't have enough in the tank to get'em the rest of the way. Great David and Goliath moment in NFL history.

I hate to say it but... I thought the way Belechek drove up the scores in the regular season, NY with 0:01 and on the 11 yard line should of kicked a field goal. Thank goodness NY has more class than me One of the best Super Bowls I have ever watched. Both teams gave it 100% and left nothing on the table.

Now, now, my friend..... No need to be "terse". Your "skin isn't that thin", now, is it?
If you spout off loudly enough where people can't help but take notice, you have to expect to take some of your own "gas" back from them when you're wrong.

Yes, Belichick crossed the field and congratulated Coughlin. No one knows exactly what words were exchanged, but that doesn't really matter. He did the politically correct thing. He really HAD to.
If I were him, I'm sure I wouldn't have been very happy and wouldn't have "hung around" for the "kill the clock on a kneel" play. It was academic.

The Pat's had a great season! Nothing to be ashamed of or apologetic for. When you're on top, everybody's gunning for you.
The real test for them will be one of character - how they come back from this next year.

I quoted that verse from the Bible before the game. My wife chuckled.......then proceeded to sweat out every play of the game by my side. Poor little thing's heart was racing more than mine was!
