Help!!
Hey guys. Just bought an r/t this week, and ,my buddy keeps talking crap on how the new mustang 2011 v6 is faster. I have already added an intake to the car. I was wondering if you guys new of anything other than an exhaust that can increase hp and not void my warranty?

Unfortunately, since your RT is still under warranty, you have to be very careful what if any mods you do to it. There is a lot of secondary information and mis-information being posted on various blogs as to what you can mod and still be under warranty. But, the bottom-line is that once you start modifying a new car you risk losing your warranty. I have read, that any part, read that as a factory Mopar part, that your dealer installs is then covered and will not affect your basic warranty. The best advice I would give is to stop by your local dealer and ask. On the other hand, if you could care less about the warranty, then only the size of your wallet becomes the limiting factor. Also, if you are serious about performance, get yourself one of the hand held tuners as you will have to give your Challenger a “super tune” sooner or later………..

and the V6 mustang is pretty darn quick.

Not that the Blue Oval's new six-cylinder musclecar needs more power. Yep, you read right: We called the new 3.7 Mustang a musclecar. Now if you're reeling from the idea of a Mustang V-6 ever being labeled with that word, or if you can't believe how far that meatball just flew from your mouth, chew on this: 0 to 60 in 5.1 seconds and the quarter mile in 13.7 at 102.0 mph. The Hemi-powered 376-horse Dodge Challenger R/T isn't any quicker to 60 and is just a tenth ahead at the quarter. Moreover, the new 3.7 is nearly as quick as last year's V-8-powered GT, which put down 4.9 and 13.5 at 104.2.

It's sad that we have to work on a Hemi to best a damn v-6 but weight makes a difference. The warrenty issue is a problem. I was going to replace my tb with a ported and polshed unit. I asked the service manager/ warranty guy about the swap. He told me that if there were a problem, i.e., detination and piston damage ANY part that comes in contact with gas, as in intake to cats. the warranty is voided. If I were to reprogram, same deal. If they flash it and it comes up on history as reprogrammed, voided warranty. He left and I talked to the service writter I always use and he told me that they monitor the forums. Dodge must be desperate! I love the way they beat the dog#*^t out of the cars in commercials like decorating the tree with the silver RT. I don't think George Washinton would have been to happy when Dodge voids his warranty for going off road with his Challenger!Lol
