Brucer41, sorry to say at this point there doesn't seem to be enough people interested in a club. In talking with 2 forum members who offered their help and also a web guy about the amount of money needed to get started with just a basic web site more interest than the 14 people we have would be needed to make it worth while . If I see more people interested as the 2009's start getting delivered we may take another look at it. I'm a little bumbed myself as I was excited in hopes of getting together with other Challenger owners for any kind of activities as we all had something in common and most are passionate about Mopars and cars in general. Time will tell and we shall see in the not to distant future. Fat Cat [sm=gears.gif]

The LX forums is a good place to find MOPAR lovers.
Pretty well organized and they seem cool for most part.

CAR CLUB NEWS UPDATE: As you all see in the included quote it doesn't look good for the Challenger Car Club.[sm=smiley19.gif]There are several reasons, in my opinion which includes myself, it seems most of us once we get our cars the time we might spend showing interest in , making suggestions, helping out with the set up and so forth goes towards injoying your new Challenger and I totally understand that. Secondly the 2 guys that offered to help set up a web page or web site are busy business men and that makes the car club a low priority. They have not refused to continue with it but the contact with them has been minimal. finally with only 14 members from here and only one of those has asked me if anything is happening I think the interest from others has been transferred to thier newly arriving Challengers, and that includes me and mine.

However I am still seriously interested in doing something. Being retired I have the time needed to help with the large amount of details and then monitoring needed . What I and probably some of you didn't realize was how many things are involved in setting something like this up especially a nation wide club.

At this time the club is kind of in limbo but there is a chance with some help from Mopar2ya from this forum that it may get restarted if there seems to be enough interest. What I mean by that is a minimum of 25 seriously interested members who would be able to help at the very beginning with the set up and start up and Mopar2ya will help with the web site/web page set up and computer stuff. I would help largely with the monitoring and detail work with the 25 members helping with research items , Ideas, suggestions and so forth.

So with all the new people getting their Challenger's and those that already have theirs we should be able to see this amount of interest. Please don't get me wrong, I realize most of us are buzy with work and day to day living but with enough interest and members and if the want and desire is there to come together and form this club it can be done.

Finally if I see and hear serious interest with offers of help to the amount I've just said then I will talk with Mopar2ya and the other forum members that were originally helping and get it restarted..........If I don't really see all that much serious interest then we can consider it a good idea but a little too much to get off the ground and I will wish you all the very best of luck, God bless you and yours, and god speed !

Can any or all of you get up enough PASSION to be involved in a car club? Do you truly want a car club? Would all of you truly give up or donate like maybe just 1 hour a week or maybe 4 or 6 hours on a Sat or Sun to help with a car show or a cruise night? If so show your passion and commitment by posting, PM'ing me or E-mail me at wboyd18993@aol.com and do it soon OK !!!

So EVERYONE INTERESTED GIVE ME SOME BIG SERIOUS FEED BACK FOR THE " CMMC " IE " CHALLENGER MOPAR MUSCLE CARS" club.

Thanks for reading and listening and I hope to see that interest, with all due respect to all of you,

Wayne Boyd = Ie FAT CAT[sm=gears.gif]

Fat Cat, if you'd design a coat like the Pharaohs had in "American Graffiti," interest would skyrocket. A car club's gotta have a coat.

Seriously, you can count me in for assistance.

RoswellGrey, I hear ya and agree but I just don't have that kind of money to design let alone have made jackets or just about anything else right now. I just had an idea that we could start a club with a web site and then maybe get together for some affairs like a car show or cruise night or cruise dinner in each different area. Just an Idea and not enough interest yet. I'll keep you in the loop if it happens tho and thanks for you interest, Fat Cat

Just wondering where we were with this as there hasnt been anything more posted here

OK EVERYONE...........FINALLY SOME NEWS ABOUT A CHALLENGER CAR CLUB !!

Along with 2 or 3 more people showing a little interest in some kind of club I've done a lot of research into possibly joining a already started club and I think I have found one that just may suit us very well .
If you remember my original idea was to start something here on the East coast area as a bunch of forum members from the west coast already were doing things together. Those members also showed interest in the hopes if we got " A " club going then we could expand it across the country and include them.
As things happened we voted on a name, " CHALLENGER MOPAR MUSCLE CLUB" ,then if expanded we could ad "West" ,East" , " Central " and so on. Then we lost the forum member and his friend that was going to do the website set up and pay the costs of the domain name and everything kind of went into limbo as my last post explained.
Upon doing this research I've found a club that is already completely started up and very anxious to welcome us into their clubs. This club started off as a ' CHARGER CLUB" but then expanded into other MOPAR makes along with Chrysler, Older Mopars and New ' Challenger with a website for each. Now at this time they are moving to one large club and want to eventually open it to the whole country with different chapters for each region or maybe each state if needed.
Here is a E-mail I recently received from them:

Hello Wayne,

You are receiving this email because you may have formally signed up to be a member one of the Mopar Muscle Clubs of America's LX clubs in NJ. As part of our national expansion, we have consolidated the NJ Magnum, NJ Challenger and NJ 300 clubs into one new club called NJ Mopar Group. All of the formally used website addresses now point to www.NJMoparGroup.com so you can use any of them to access the site.

We home combining these clubs will help grow the community in NJ faster and allow LX owners to participate in more events. Please stop by the forums and introduce yourself and check out the event page for whats happening over the next few months.

Thanks you for being a member and we hope to see you at an event soon.

Best Regards,

NJ Mopar Group™
Part of the Mopar Muscle Clubs of America™ family of car clubs.

So the name at this time of the club is..." NJ MOPAR GROUP" , and as you see is part of the" Mopar Muscle Clubs of America" , very close to the name we picked!

As soon as I get the official website address and member joining info I will post it here.
My main concern is NOT to step on anyones toes or to steal any members or forum members from any club or forum but to merely offer the opportunity to anyone interested as we originally spoke of starting our own club to join with me in this club , " THE NJ MOPAR GROUP".
I've personally attended a" Meet and Greet" session along with a " Dyno, Test, and Tune " session with this club and found everyone to be very friendly and open to me and my Challenger as they mostly had Chargers except the Tuning experts who were originally from Austraila and now OHIO and had a Black Challenger. Andre@edge knows them so he can ask them about this club too. there names are Steve and Jason from RDP Motorsports.
Please look for this post over the next 2 weeks as I get more info on this club and how all of you can join it, if you are interested in it, as I am . Thanks to everyone , Fat Cat [sm=gears.gif]
