Sounds like you guys are trying to build what we use to call....."Cal Custom Specials"
You know these guys....the ones who buy every chrome part they can find in their local auto parts store (or J.C.Whitney got to have parts!)......

I put mine on the first day I got my car in, gas pedal was an easy snap on, on the brake pedal I used a pick with a 90 degree bend in it, carefully pulled the edge on around the side of the pedal. Looked like a factory install. Along with the stainless door sills, I get many compliments on the additions.

I put them on and recommend them highly!
my foot used to slip off the gas pedal all the time when I was lazy driving. not anymore!

the brake pedal was HELL to get on like everyone says!
