Default Dodge seeking your input...

Distinguished members of DodgeChallenger.com,

My name is Scott Vandekerckhove. I am a new member here at this forum and I am on a mission. A mission for all of you, to be exact.

Let me cut right to the chase, I work for Chrysler on the Auto Show/Specialty Event Circuit all across the country. I work under the title of “Product Specialist.” When I am not on the Auto Show floor, I am actively involved in grass roots marketing activities, most often in Dodge. In fact, it is likely that I have met several of the members here in person at some time or another.

The highlight of my work, thus far, was a nationwide tour showcasing the Dodge Challenger when it was launched back in 2008. Our exploits were chronicled on RedLetterDodge.com, Dodge’s official blog (I am sure you are aware of). To prove I am who I say I am, please view the following links as proof...

With the Challenger currently in full swing, and an all new Charger fast on the horizon, things are really starting to heat up.

But without the loyal fan base of Mopar enthusiasts throughout the world, where would we be?

That said, I am trying to find out what exactly Mopar clubs want from Dodge? In particular, Charger and Challenger fans everywhere.

It could be any number of things:
-Is it a centralized Official website dedicated exclusively to the clubs?
-Is it a special event held exclusively for the clubs?
-Would you want more opportunities to interact with Dodge engineers and marketing reps? Focus groups?
-Or is it a vehicle giveaway that you desire?

Bottom line: What can be done to make a true impact on the clubs? Something specific and unique that you would all enjoy!

Also, what is the best way for us to communicate with all of you in mass? What is the quickest, most direct way of getting in contact with EVERYONE?!!!

This is your opportunity to voice your ideas. We want to hear what’s on your mind. Be inventive. Be honest. Be yourselves.

Feel free to email me directly at SRV@EVENTSOLUTIONS.NET

Thanks for listening. I truly look forward to hearing all you have to share. And, by all means, spread this around so that we get as much input as possible.

Sincerely,
Scott Vandekerckhove

all of the above plus I'll tell you what i want personally from dodge,

a 2009 factory challenger only sales brochure, i bought my car in April
and there were no Brochures available anywhere unless i wanted to buy
one off of Ebay for $20 and those sellers had multiple copies for sale.

this should be part of the sales package that goes with any new car
over 20K especially for those of us that like to keep original documentation.

edit: and if you start an online page for clubs how about an official decal saying it
based on the old scat pack decals and call it the "NEW Scat Pack"

Scott....I love my Challenger R/T but I'm not at all happy with Chrysler. I purchased my R/T in Nov 2008 from United Dodge in Las Vegas, Nevada. They are one of the many dealers that was closed by Chrysler earlier in the year. I've heard about many people receiving letters in the mail with a coupon good for $500 toward the purchase of a new Dodge product, good till the end of 2009. I'm currently in negotiations for a 2010 SRT8 (to add to the fold) and would like and I could use a coupon also. But when I called up Chrysler incentives department to inquire if I could somehow obtain one, they said that my name was not on the list. They said the list was generated from Chrysler Corporate (I believe). They also said that the names were supplied from Dodge dealers around the country...they thought that had a lot to do with it. OK...does this seem fair to you Scott? My dealership (like many others on here) closed. I never had any chance what-so-ever to get the $500 coupon.....and I could really use one while many members on ths board have received 2, 3, and more. And again....most members do not have any plans on using them either. I've been buying Dodges on and off for over 40 years. Anyway....this is what I think of Chrysler. Love my car....but their marketing and trying to keep past customers happy is TERRIBLE!!! I did ask the incentives department if there was anything that they could do to help me and their answer was a flat no. I asked one agent if she could have her supervisor call me...I wanted to see if a manager could help. She said that she would pass my info on to her boss....that was over a week ago and I have heard nothing back from anyone. Great Customer Relations.

Hey Scott, I'm a member of the Chicagoland Mopar Connection, and our club has lots of new Challengers, I'd invite Chrysler to promote a huge gathering.. that could be connected to one of our shows... perhaps you could bring out some display units, aide in promotion, come up with a few awards to give out.... us Mopar people like to feel we belong... Check out our web site www.chicagolandmopar.com

Thanks Scott I really enjoy the 09 Challenger R/T and my 70 R/T. I am Dodge through and through and bleed Hemi Orange. This is the first new Dodge I have bought as they have never built a rear wheel drive car since I have been able to buy one. When the Hemi powered, rear wheel drive and manual trans Challenger came out in 09 I jumped on one in Dec. of 08. This is my kind of car and when you guys build cars we want we will buy them. My son owns an SRT-8 and the previous car was a Charger R/T. We thank you and ask that we see more of them on TV. When I drive mine around the Charlotte area... seems most folks did'nt know they had been reintroduced. They love this car also but had no idea it was available. I guess with 25000 miles on the clock in one year I am your advertisement and enjoyed every second of it.
