An additional power boost for the 5.7 in 09?
ORIGINAL: 71R/T Charger
Kind of makes me wonder what the difference in weight is between a no options R/T and an optioned up one.

Well for those that are interested in saving a pound or 2 in hopes of a faster car, here's a good link to read up on about the Super Stock Challenger - this shows you how much weight you can actually save when you get rid of such frills as back seats and windshield wipers...
You'll see that even with this car stripped to the bone, you're still stuck with a near-3600 lb lunker.

And judging by the brochure's claims, looks like the 5.7 isn't getting any power boost over 375 (for M6 cars), so guess that was wishful thinking on my part. [:@]

i dont see why it cant get 390 but my opinion is they kept the number at 375 to have a good difference in hp with thesrt8 and i believe when 2010 rolls up theyll say look we managed to get 390 fromthe r/t and we are putting the 6.4 in the srt8 with 470-500 hp
could be wishfull thinking though....but i doubt it.
