Kind of like mounting a fire extinguisher on the pillar....(if the fire doesn't kill you, the extinghisher will as your head makes contact).......[seen this on more than a few street machines]

 

Muscle car gauges are chrome and they are mounted to the hood cowl.

 

Muscle cars do not have navigation screens. That's where the gauges should be

 

Not a bad idea if your willing to replace the stock radio for a standard DIN version. But you may still need to work on the trim around the radio to free up more space. I have a spare bezel coming in the mail in the next week or. I may look at it closer to see if this would be possible.
