I don't know that anyone is opposed to our viewpoint, but some are convinced that DCX is trying to make Dodge into a premium brand and that just will not happen. Chrysler is the premium brand and Dodge has always been the performance brand with an eye towards value. With Plymouth gone now that role is even more important to draw entry level and value conscious consumers into the DCX fold. Dodge will never have the "prestige" of a Mercedes that people will aspire to own one day, so worries of $40-50k Challengers are just unfounded in my opinion. Dodge has the Viper for the high end of the market and while it may go away there is a replacement in the works to meet the needs of this market. I just don't see a high dollar limited production Challenger as being what they will produce, it's just not good economics.
