Every story I have read in the media says they are trying to come to terms to close the deal by the end of the month... prior to the election at the very latest. So... I guess we sit back and see what happens. Election day is only two weeks away... []

Undoubtedly, they figure a Republican Justice Department would be more friendly to a "merger" than a potentially Democratic one would be.

Potentially those that have not bought one yet could all wind up with no Challengers. I would cry. []

No bailout money, no merger.

I don't know why GM would axe a car if it is profitable. They sold Firebirds as well as Camaros for a long time, as each appeals to a slightly different demographic.

I would take an LS3/7/9 Challenger. You get all the HP and no guzzler tax, but not having a "Hemi" would be strange I admit. The LSX engines are pretty good.
