My understanding of the keyless go is an 28J package standard item but you must have the Electronics Convience package to get it and that also comes with the remote start which is an option included in that package Fat Cat[sm=gears.gif]

So I guess no one knows for sure haha. I have a feeling the RT will have it though. [8D]

With the Keyless Go on the 2008's, if you leave the fob in your pocket, does the car automatically lock/unlock itself? I thought it did, but after receiving mine, it doesn't seem to. Am I missing something?

IF (I could be mistaken) it is the same system that Mercedes uses, then yes and no. There should be a sensor somewhere on the door handle that you have to put your thumb over. As long as the key fob is close enough to the car the doors should unlock when you touch it. The car will not, however, lock itself automatically. There used to be a link in the Mercedes Website that showed a demo of the system in action, but it is no longer there.

with my 09 on the way, I talked to my dealer and I am assured that Keyless Go is provided as an option. The remote start is not provided with the 6 speeds due to the show stated earlier. but if you get the electronics convienence package and go to an audio place, they can activate the remote start if you want. Seeing how I always leave my car in Neutral I plan on having it activated.

Keyless Go is part of a package though right? It's not a stand alone option....

This is a little off topic but how do you get your VON number? The dealership?

VON number is given to you by the Fleet Manager or person whom order the vehicle for you. Just give your dealership a call.

I talked to my Dealer and they gave me the VON number, after some more wining I got the actual sheet that shows my VON number, with my name, and another paper showing me all the options ordered. The squeeky wheel gets the grease.
