dodgebrothers....my thoughts exactly on the parts availability, that is why I jumped all over this deal. I plan on keeping this car until I'm 92(hopefully I live that long)...the sheet metal isn't covered anyway, that is covered in the corrosion warranty

Good deal, glad you go it caj...I just got my contract in the mail and it specifically says it doesn't cover SRT vehicles. Most companies don't offer extended warranties on high performance vehicles. Let's just hope they don't go under....chapter 11 or being sold off to GM or another company would suck, but by law the purchasing company would be legally bound to honor the warranty.

True, but if they do a Chapter 7 liquidation, then you're out of luck. I don't know who would buy Chrysler (or GM for that matter) - most of the logical players are struggling to save their own bacon at this point. And if just one of the Big 3 goes, it will probably take out a bunch of common suppliers at the same time. Therefore I think most buyers will be buying up critical suppliers rather than competitors, and along with that comes an automatic reduction in market supply. I dunno. Freaky times.

I don't know about Chryslers as this is my first one, but GM lets you buy an extended warranty right up to the time your orignal lapses. I'd wait and see what happens.

So the extended warranty on the SRT is not lifetime, but 7 years/100,000 miles?

If I remember correctly, the SRT only comes with the 3yr/36k mile warranty, no lifetime powertrain or extended warranty. I'm about 95% sure of this, maybe an SRT owner can officially answer this one

I am an SRT owner and I believe you can get an extended warranty, just not a lifetime warranty. I got the postcard with the same offer everyone else got but have yet to call. I may call tomorrow to satisfy my curiosity.

i work for a dealership and you can buy the lifetime Chrysler service contract for your car...it sells for $1550.00 retail and you can go to your local dealer to purchase it...
all they need to do is pull up your vin to see the contracts available for your car and it will pull up or you can go to the service contract website and put in your vin
to access all available contract heres the link http://www.servicecontracts.chrysler.com/

you are right, dodge website says you can, I think these are your options

Powertrain Care

Powertrain Care Plus

Added Care Plus

Maximum Care

Lifetime Powertrain Added and Maximum Care (Chrysler Dodge or Jeep® vehicles only)

Convenience and Maintenance Plans

No lifetime bumper2bumper, I think 7/100k is the best you can get

Challygirl-
Can you tell me what it means if it says it can't find our information? I went to your link (thanks) - but when I entered the VIN and last name it says there is no match or information available.

Thanks for the help.
