As I posted on other Challenger sites, I have but 2 real simple suggestions - if any SRT engineer actually cares about what any of us really think, here they go...

Have a LARGER color selection than the usual SRT colors - this "only available in red, silver and black" nonsense is just that - nonsense! We want a bigger color selection! More than just 3 or 4 would be nice.

Also, do the right thing and make a 6-speed manual transmission available. A real, honest-to-god manual, with a real honest-to-god clutch (remember those?) - none of this "autostick" crap - we want a REAL manual transmission! I'd even be willing to pay extra for one, just like I did when I had my 04 GTO.

Other than that, I pretty much like all that I've seen so far.

I just hope every challenger model has a better color selection than the charger. Grey? Maroon? Silver? Greyish blue? You don't get the cool colors unless you spend 40k. How about the same colors available on the v6 that are available on the r/t that are available on the srt? I'd be seriously considering the charger if I could get a sublime one. . . without spending 40 grand.

Justin - I do see your point and I agree to you to a certain degree, but as an R/T or SRT buyer, I would still like a couple of unique colors limited to those cars.. ..after all, if I am going to spend the extra dough, I do want special appearance as well...

Justin, if nothing else, get a white one and take it to a decent body shop. For about $3,500, you should be able to get a really good Sublime or Plum Crazy paint job.

If worse came to worse I would probably get a white or black one and just get some stripes in the color I wanted. A lot cheaper to get those painted than a full paint job. If I was going for the full paint job I'd get Sublime AND Plum crazy =P

That's assuming they'll even offer the car in white. Right now there isn't any SRT model that's offered in white, it's mostly this "red, black or silver". Guess silver is about the closest thing... but MY point is that I'd like to see the SRTs available at least in all colors as the base model.... and throw in a coupe of unique ones in there as well.

Look at the 2008 Viper.. they're now offering like 8 colors, the most they've ever offered at one time was 4 I think.

Hopefully this means things will change with the SRT Challenger as well.

if you can provide me a body shop who will do a like-new paint job in metallic paint, in a different color, for 3500,i would be simply amazed. even low quality maaco paint jobs cost 2500+.
