I have to disagree with you on this point BLK6050.. I believe the right thing to do would be for the government to return the GG tax on all SRT8s as they are obviously unsure what to charge for said tax. If they don"t return the tax I think a Detroit Texas Tea Party is in order... in honor of our founding fathers Boston Tea Party. Then there should be equal burnout opportunity for all... in honor of the foundation that is the core of these Great United States...

I have to agreed with that..............

Just a thought....could the Gas Guzzler tax be considered "double taxation" since it is a part of the sticker price, and the sales tax we are changed on the sale is based on the total price (which includes the GG tax amount)...................

I got a print out from my dealer that says priced order confirmation at the top, as I was there to check the status of my car, and test drive the RT they had on the lot. It says $1300 for the gas guzzler tax, and it says $1700 on the print out I got in July when I ordered the car. Perhaps since the manual get's slightly better gas mileage? I originallly ordered an automatic, so that could account for the difference.
