I hope they keep it simple. Make damn sure it looks like the proto, concentrate on performance and durability (so you can thrash it without breaking it, like the originals), maybe make the shifter look more like the original, and for God's sake, offer it with the 6.4 no later than year 2 of production. Simpler means lighter and less crap to break when banging gears. After all, if there's one thing a Challenger is about it's banging gears with a great big smile on your face. More horsepower, less cyber ballast.

 

Actually chubbs, I have heard someone mention offering a Viper V10 before. The problem with doing this is the current output from the Viper V10 is 510 hp & 530-535 ft-lbs of tq which is about the same hp marginally more tq than the 392 HEMI crate engine which produces 510 hp & 510 ft-lbs of tq, which weighs less, is less costly to produce, take less engine space, etc. It doesn't make sense to use this engine with this marginal tq advantage. Plus, the Viper's engine should be exclusive to the Viper in the car line-up.

Has anybody have anything else they would like to have on their 2008 Dodge Challenger.

I think my Hemi Orange start button is going to happen and it was on my list.

 

How about a 8 track player. A CB radio with whip antennae, Hi Jacker air shocks, Cragar SS wheels and Hooker headers with Hush Thrush mufflers.

Sorry about that, this new Challenger takes me back to the first Challenger I owned in 1977.

Really though, I would love to see a T/A style hood as the super stock concept has.
And most definately a convertible.

all it's missing is that chrome sparkle. please add a chrome trim option, even a chrome bumper ala the 1970(maybe a bit too far for a modern car?). even all the challenger emblems (from the one on the side to the one on the dash)

 

I am still looking for the racing gas cap and hood pins as well.

the cursive one. The newer bold one looks almost like all other car logos today.

 

I have heard of several people who like the cursive ones the best, so you are not alone.

In the last year, I have found an additional option that would be nice for them to have. I would like for them to offer those heated and cooled cupholders found in the Sebring and Avenger as an option. I get tired of my sodas getting warm and my warm beverages getting cold. Travel mugs help, but this would help even further.
