We seriously have to do something about the colors

We seriously have to do something about the colors
This whole situation with the lousy selection of colors for the Challenger really seriously stinks and we can't just take it lying down. We have to grab Dodge and shake them up and let them know they have to change their color policy. They are for some mysterious, unknown reason denying us the classic mopar colors (except for hemi orange). It is still early and now is the time to try to change their policy. If I'm going to spend $30 to $40K on a new car I'm going to fight to get the color I want. We can't just keep letting this dumb policy go on and on. We need to do some things, like find out who the people responsible are and contact them. Maybe a letter writing campaign. Maybe phone calls. Lets put our heads and information together and get this dumb policy changed for real. I'm not just going to take this when I am going to spend this much money. This is too important to just let it slide. Dodge's color policy is a really bad policy and they have to change it.

RE: We seriously have to do something about the colors
I was in on one of those chats with the SRT reps on the Chrysler 300 board several months ago and I raised the very question about color limitations on the SRT lineup. A rep answered back something to the effect of "limited capacity" as to what they're able to offer (which, to me, is typical PR speak for "I have no real answer"). Billionaire, if you're actually able to get thru to one of the SRT PR bureaucrats, don't be surprised if you get the same type of answer.
Good luck with your crusade. Glad to see others are as frustrated as I am about this sort of thing. We want results, not excuses.

Here's what I sent 'em:
"I watched your unveiling of the 2009 Challenger R/T with great interest. Congratulations on an obvious winner. I know that the car is still 6 months from the showroom - and I am 12 months from purchasing one - so I hope there is still time to add more color choices to the lineup. Will we see more "traditional" Challenger colors, like Banana Yellow, Sublime, Catch Me Copper or Plum Crazy in that time frame?"
I expect a canned response, perhaps mentioning the late availability of the B5 Blue Classic. I further expect that they have every intention of offering most of these colors, but only one a year for the run of the model. Stringing them out probably saves them money and definitely rekindles interest in the fan community with each release. Maybe if they get enough of these requests they'll consider advancing the timetable.

RE: We seriously have to do something about the colors
Hi,
I'm on board with you guys. If you are to bring back such a car as the Challenger, bring at all back! That especially includes the paint colors. They were such a big part of the package then, and they should be a part of it today as well. I've already sent my opinion to both links you've provided. Thanks.
