Budman,

That's interesting, has your friend at Brampton ever stated how many cars they have built in a day?

That's really not that bad of news, it offers an explanation why things aren't moving the next few days. Dodge certainly isn't communicating. All we need is some information.

I did ask and he said around 25 to 30 a day right now. Other than the holiday plant hours that is all I could get out of him.

Budman,

Thanks, what is their maximum potential of production of any model in full song?

Based on history the plant can produce around 450 cars per day. I say this from data of 300 and Magnum production shortly after the introduction when those cars were hot. They were building about 12,000 300's per month. It is possible to build the entire 08 lot in about 2 1/2 weeks once they go to full speed. Of course 300 and Charger would have to be idle.

I don’t believe for one second that Dodge is holding on to these cars to cause a commotion. I’m sure they want them out the door, but they know this is a really high-profile vehicle, and if it has major problems, they will have egg on their face big time.

Hell I remember my dad custom ordering a ’72 Chrysler Town and Country wagon, and it was supposed to arrive in 5 weeks, but ended up taking over 2 months. So maybe this is nothing new, everyone is just used to buying cars off the lot these days. But when that wagon came in, it was like Christmas in June.

If the Challenger is a hot seller, they can run 3 shifts and produce 1,250 cars per day.
