I still have my Mayan Red 78 Formula (remember those? The red-headed stepchild of the T/A). I know it's not the most desirable year as far a power is concerned, but I've always loved those 2nd gen T/As, even long before S&B.

I for one wish GM would at least consider a new Firebird along with the new Camaro, I think it'd be a huge hit. If Dodge can build a Challenger convertible, there's no reason they can't do it - it's just that they don't want to. Oh well (shrug).

They did. All the pics you see to the contrary are mock-ups and what-ifs. Some are really cool, some not. I'm actually not a big fan of the one in the pic originally posted, I've seen much better looking possibilities.

They did. I must be out of the mainstream. I actually kind of like this one. I prefer it to that popular one that gets passed back and forth on the internet. I'm not into the 70s Firebirds either, I think the Firebirds of the 80s till the end looked better on the outside than the late 70s models.
